10mm Heat Shrink Tubing
Perfect for protecting twisted animation armature wires, 10mm heat shrink tubing works particularly well with our 7 strand twisted wires. It is also used to protect the legs in our AliExtra Armatures.
Ideal for stop motion animation, this tubing provides additional durability to animation wire. Even tiny marks on aluminum wire can weaken it and the use of heat shrink tubing helps protect wires from damage. When used on twisted wires, it helps to keep the wires together, spreading the stress of being bent across all the wires and increasing their longevity.
10mm tubing shrinks to approximately 5mm when heated. Heat can be applied using a heat gun, boiling water or even at a low temperature in an oven.
Also available in 5mm and 2.5mm sizes.
