Our 50mm polystyrene balls are the most versatile size in the animator's toolkit. Ideal for the torsos of smaller creatures or the heads of larger humanoids, the 5cm polyball ensures your puppet remains lightweight enough for complex "one-legged" walking poses without the risk of the armature straining under its own weight.

Build your own low cost, lightweight stop motion puppets using a selection of different Polyball sizes. Combine these with Milliput and Animation Wire to make limbs and define body parts. 

A polyball works really well as the core to heads, Insert a length of Square Brass Tube into the ball to enable the head to easily slot into place. Having the ability to remove your character's head makes it easier to animate fine details. This is especially important when using a plasticine, like Chroma Clay
