The 35mm Specialist Core for Fine Detail

For smaller-scale productions or secondary characters, the 35mm polystyrene ball is the ideal choice. It offers enough surface area for detailed clay sculpting while remaining practically weightless. Use this 3.5cm core to ensure your smaller puppets have the same structural integrity as your lead characters.

See our full range of Polyballs to find all the sizes that we offer. Use together with Milliput and Animation Wire to make simple armatures. Then cover in a plasticine, like Chroma Clay to get a plasticine look but also a lightweight easier to animate puppet.

Polyballs are recommended for use as the head core for use with our Stop Motion Armatures, A length of Square Brass Tube is attached to the armature's neck and an other inserted into the ball.  This allows the head to be slotted into place and also removed during animation.
