Standard Rigging System
Use our Standard Rig to create gravity defying effects in your stop motion films. Designed to support your characters and props as you animate them in mid-air. This robust rigging system can then be removed by using a tool like the Stop Motion Pro Rig Removal Feature. The Standard Rigging System is designed to be used with our ProPlus Armatures but can be used with most of our other armatures too (additional components maybe required). Select the armature that you intend to use the rig with from the drop down list and we will send you all the components that you will need.
The Standard Rig requires minimal assembly and there is no cutting or threadlocking to be done. It also features one of the easiest methods of attaching your rig to your armature on the market.
Please note, the armatures shown in the pictures are not included.
Standard Rigging System
Create professional, gravity defying effects using our Standard Rigging System. The Standard Rig has been designed to be used with our ProPlus Armature but can be used with most of our other armatures too. Additional components will be required to use the rig with our Professional and Standard Armatures. Simply select the armature that you intend to use the rig with from the drop drown list, and we will supply any additional components that you will need.
The Standard Rigging System, requires minimal assembly (no cutting or thread locking with our rigging system) and features our robust Standard Armature joints. The rods connecting the joints are also from our Standard Armature and provide good support as you animate.
The rig features a quality birch ply baseboard, and like the ProPlus Rigging System includes an easy method of attaching the rig to your armature. The connector simply screws tightly into the rigging block (or rigging point on the studio armatures) and then the rest of the rig simply slots into place.
The Standard Rig is a decent piece of kit, but if you are looking for a studio quality solution, you should consider our ProPlus Rigging System which, used in leading stop motion studios.
