ProPlus Rigging System

Create professional effects using our ProPlus Rigging System. Want to create gravity defying effects in stop motion animation? Then a rig is what you need! With the ProPlus Rig you are able to create the illusion of a character being suspended in mid-air whilst retaining precise control over each frame of your animation.

When using a Stop Motion Rig, you can either cleverly capture each frame so that the rig isn't visible, or if that isn't possible, then the rig can removed during post-production. To find out more about how this is done see our blog post about Rig Removal. 

The ProPlus Rigging System has the following features:

• Robust design, including heavy duty ball joints
• Connector screws into the rigging block of our ProPlus Armature
• This enables quick attachment and release of the Rig
• Can be used vertically and horizontally
  
• Incremental markings so it can be used like a winder to aid animation
• Compatible with our magnetic tie-down systems

The ProPlus Rig has been designed to be used with our ProPlus armature to produce dazzling animation, including jumping, running and flying. It can however, be used with our Professional and Standard Armature too. These require some additional components. Select which armature you intend to use the Rig with and the additional components will be provided.

For the Professional Kit a Rigging Block will be provided. Please note that this needs to be added to a Professional Armature at the time of building it. The Rigging Block adds rigging points to the armature so that the rig at be attached. If you have already built your kit, then you will also need some more 6mm balls and a length of M3 rod.

For the Standard Armature, a Rigging Block, Three 8mm, M3 Threaded Balls and a length of M3 Threaded Rod will be provided. These are used to make a new version of the Standard Kit's hip section to incorporate the Rigging Block, enabling the Rigging System to be attached.
