Professional Magnetic tie-down system

AThe Professional Magnetic tie-down system features an extremely powerful N38, Nickel plated magnet, measuring 7/8" in diameter and 1½” long . It is supplied in a protective brushed aluminium casing and capable of holding 35KG of iron.

It's an excellent stop motion magnet, providing tie-down stability without the need to put holes in your set. The expertly crafted brushed aluminium housing not only offers protection from the enormous power of the magnet but also makes it much easier to maneuver. This system is used in professional animation studios around the work.

The system is compatible with all of our Armatures as well as our ProPlus Rigging System. It is important to note however, that you must use a ferrous base for your set to enable magnetic tie-down to work. Although the Professional Magnets are extremely powerful, they will lose strength very quickly when passing through a non-ferrous material.

We recommend perforated steel for the very best results and we offer both complete Animation Stages as well as sheets of Galvanised Perforated Steel which work exceptionally well with magnetic tie-down. The holes also enable the use of threaded tie-down which ensures maximum flexibility.
