With the Newplast Plasticine factory now closed, animators don’t need to panic, Animation Supplies has created Chroma Clay, a brand-new alternative which is available here.
Blue Newplast plasticine deosn't dry out and won't set. It's a modelling material which is nicely pliable but will also retain its shape. This makes it a great choice for plasticine animation and is often used by Aardman.
Along side the product images, you'll see a video from the Marvellous Makes series which shows how to make a Plasticine snail model. Made by the brilliant Super Strange Studios, this video is great fun and demonstrates the plasticine modelling techniques which can be used to make your own Plasticine creations.
In this video, together with blue plasticine, you will also need some white, black and orange.
