Styrofoam - Multi-Packs

Styrofoam is a popular choice with architects, model makers, product designers and stop motion animators alike. It is a great model making material which is easy to shape and very versatile. It can be cut and sanded into all manner of shapes and designs.

For stop motion, Styrofoam is not only ideal for making sets and props but is also perfect for reducing the weight of your character. Use a piece of Styrofoam for the core of your character's body and/or head before covering it in Plasticine. Your character will still look like it is made of solid Plasticine but due to its reduced weight will be easier to animate.
